Some new color and logo

I have done some changes to the design of the GN Tech website. The new logo is intended to be more discreet than the previous. My goal is a website that focus on content rather than flashy design. Although I'm not saying that it should look bad either. =) As always I am looking forward to get some feedback from my visitors on this mather.

Visitor statistics

I am using Google Analytics on this site to get som statistics over the amount of visitors and so on. Here is a small selection of interesting data from the last month (January 2011):
Visitors:
  • Unique visitors: 123
  • Visits: 315
  • Page views: 778
  • Nationalities: 28
The most popular page is without doubt the Basketball page followed by: OpenAFS on Ubuntu, Bike stand and The harvester computer.
Web browsers:
  • Safari: 38,73%
  • Firefox: 36,83%
  • Internet Explorer: 13,33%
  • Opera: 11,11%
Trafic sources:
  • Google: 71,75%
  • Direct address: 22,22%

New logo

I have started to do the design of this homepage on a local "wampserver". This allows me to make big changes to the code without having to worry about the real site crashing.

I have started to experiment with a new graphics design software called Xara Designer Pro 6. I find to be a very powerful and useful software. The new logo is created with this software. If you want to try this great software there is a 30-day trial version avaiable at www.xara.com. This is what the old logo looked like:
