Update 2019-07-02: See also the newly designed mobile base 2.0 for the W57.
In the spring of 2016 I bought a used woodworking combination machine. The model is Luna Master W57. It was manufactured in Sweden in 1977.
It got the following functions.
- Tablesaw with 300 mm saw blade (Altough I have only a 250 mm installed)
- Jointer 260 mm
- Planer 260 mm
- Table router
- Horisontal slot mortiser
The functions are powered by three 1,5 kW 3-phase motors. The jointer, planer and slot mortiser share one motor while the table saw and router have separate motors.
The machine weighs 230kg and to be able to move it I built the following mobile base.
The mobile base works ok but I think the ability to lower and raise the rotating caster wheel was quite unnecessary in hindsight.
And yes, the base still needs some paint. :)
